Dover, New York – Man Charged with DWI after Fatal ATV Accident during Wedding Reception

On Saturday, at approximately 11:20 PM the New York State Police in Dover Plains responded to a report of an ATV accident with serious injuries.
The accident occurred on Ore Bed Rd. in the Town of Dover during a wedding reception.
Investigation reveals that the operator of the Can – Am Commander UTV Christopher Hoag (23 yr old) was travelling south on Ore Bed Rd. with his brother Nicholas Hoag (25 yr old) as the passenger.
The UTV veered across the roadway striking a tree which caused the UTV to roll over.
Nicholas Hoag became pinned under the vehicle.
He was transported to New Milford Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The operator was transported to St. Francis Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of this incident Christopher Hoag was charged with driving while intoxicated (1192-3). Investigation is continuing.
