Tennessee – THP Prepares to Enforce Sobriety (DUI) Checkpoints

Tennessee – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is organizing to conduct numerous sobriety (DUI) and driver’s license checkpoints in the upcoming months.
Sobriety (DUI) checkpoints are as followed:
Sobriety checkpoints will be conducted on Oct. 1, Oct. 23 and Dec. 31 ranging between the hours of 8 to 10 p.m.
Location:
The sobriety checkpoints will take place on U.S. 129 at Old Railroad Bed Road, Foothills Parkway about four miles from U.S.129 Calderwood Highway and on U.S. 411 at U.S. 129.
According to the Department of Safety, sobriety (DUI) checkpoints is to be utlized by the department’s police force, as a way to deter and detect motorists driving under the infuence (DUI).
