Arrested: Keith D. Clark, 55, No Known Address

Charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F)

Boise Police responded to a report of a fight in progress at 14th and Shoreline late last night (August 4th) at approximately 11:30 p.m. Officers located the suspect a short distance away. Witnesses say the victim, who was riding a bike at the time, approached the suspect and exchanged words. The victim states the suspect then produced a shortened (cut off) baseball bat and began swinging it at him. Witnesses tell police the suspect chased the victim down the street with the bat. Officers recovered the baseball bat and a backpack that had been dropped in some nearby bushes. A search of the pack revealed a small amount of Meth. The cause of the assault is unclear at this time. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

Idaho State Code 18-905. Aggravated assault defined. An aggravated assault is an assault: (a) With a deadly weapon or instrument without intent to kill; or (b) By any means or force likely to produce great bodily harm.

Warrant Arrested: Kevin T. Bailey, 22, Boise

Warrant Charge: Rape (F)

Boise Police were contacted by the alleged victim in October of last year. The victim, an adult female, and the suspect are known to each other. The incident reportedly occurred in a East Boise home on October 2nd of 2009. The report was investigated by detectives with the Boise Police Special Victims Unit. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and resulted in the felony warrant. Yesterday (August 4th) the suspect was arrested on the above listed charge and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Kathleen J. Jones, 37, Boise

Charges: Grand Theft (F), Probation Violation charges

Boise Police arrested Kathleen Jones yesterday after a detailed investigation into a report of a theft at a retail store on the 3600 block of East Federal Way that took place on (July 29th) On that day store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect select items from the store, then return those items to the store without paying for them and received more than $1,000.00 in gift cards. Boise Police Retail Crimes investigators later identified the suspect and located her yesterday. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect also had a warrant for her arrest on probation violation charges. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.
