Type: Accidental Shooting

Text:  On 5/31/2010 at approximately 0130 hours, the Alaska State
Troopers and the Wrangell Police Department responded to a reported
hunting accident at the head of the Bradfield Canal near Wrangell.
Investigation revealed 50 year old Bret D. Millo of Wasilla, AK was shot
and killed by 51 year old Ralph E. Delius of West Bloomfield, MI on a
guided brown bear hunt.  The incident took place on 5/30/2010 at
approximately 2230 hours.   No indication of foul play was discovered.
Millo’s next of kin have been notified.  The State Medical Examiner’s
Office will be conducting an autopsy of the body.

Type: MVC vs. Moose
Text: On 5/30/10 at approximately 2352 hours, a State Trooper vehicle
was traveling eastbound on Palmer Fishhook when a moose stepped onto the
roadway.  Investigation revealed that Trooper Timothy Smith, age 28, of
Wasilla was driving a 2006 Ford Crown Vic and was unable to avoid
colliding with the moose.  The patrol vehicle struck the moose on Palmer
Fishhook near 6 mile Road.  Trooper Smith was wearing his seatbelt at
the time of the collision and reported no injuries.  The patrol vehicle
sustained about $2,000 in damages.

Case number: 10-46935

Type: MVC-Damage

Text: On 5-30-2010 at approximately 1815 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to the intersection of Knik Goose Bay Rd. and Clapp St. in
Wasilla for a reported collision involving two vehicles.  Subsequent
investigation revealed that Kristen Schwartz, age 17, of Wasilla was
turning southbound from Clapp St. onto Knik Goose Bay Rd. in a 2005
Dodge Neon when she struck a 1995 Ford Escort traveling in the
northbound lane of Knik Goose Bay Rd. driven by Joseph Pratt, age 30, of
Wasilla.  Both parties reported wearing their seatbelts and no injuries
were reported.  Schwartz was issued a citation for failure to yield when
entering an intersection after a stop.  Damage to both vehicles was
estimated at $5,000.

Warrant Arrest
Text: On 5-31-10 at approximately 0145 hours Alaska State Troopers
contacted Ronald Dolfi, age 46 of Sutton, at the Kings River Campground
in Sutton, following the report of a noise disturbance.  Investigation
revealed that Dolfi had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for
Failure to Comply with the conditions of his probation from a prior
Criminal Trespass.  Dolfi was arrested, transported and remanded to the
Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and held on $1,000 bail.

Type: Disorderly Conduct
Text: On 5-31-10 at approximately 0240 hours Alaska State Troopers
contacted Romil F. Kuzmin, age 30 from Wasilla, while investigating a
disturbance at a residence on Rue De La Paix Loop in Wasilla.  During
the investigation Kuzmin continued to cause a disturbance and was
arrested for Disorderly Conduct.  Kuzmin was transported to the Mat-Su
Pre-Trial Facility where he was remanded into custody and held until
sober.

Type: Probation Violation

Text:  On 5/30/10, at about 2324 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted
intoxicated 25 YOA Ray Sam Simeon of Aniak at a residence on First
Street during an unrelated assault investigation.  Simeon was
subsequently arrested on a Probation Violation as he was under the
influence of alcohol.  Simeon was remanded at the Aniak State Trooper
Post without bail.

Type: MICS IV

Text: On 5/25/10 at about 2135 hours, Nome Adult Probation officers were
doing a probation check at Frank C. Anderson’s residence in the Nome
area and found a 15 plant marijuana grow in his residence.  Anderson,
age 51 of Nome, was arrested for probation violation and lodged at Anvil
Mountain Correctional Center by Adult Probation.  AST responded to
Anderson’s residence and seized 15 plants.  Charges pending for
Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV.

Case number:  10-45992

Type: Probation Violation, Felony Alcohol Importation

Text: On 5/28/10 at about 1500 hours, while dropping off a passenger at
a local commercial airline in Nome, AST contacted Gordon Takak, age 33
of Elim, checked in to fly to Elim.  Subsequent to an investigation,
eight 750-ml bottles of R & R whisky were seized from Takak and Takak
was arrested for probation violation and felony Alcohol Importation.
Takak was transported to Anvil Mountain Correctional Center where he was
lodged with no bail.

Type:  Assault

Text:   On 5/26/10, at 0600 hrs, Unalakleet AST received a report of a
stabbing in Unalakleet.  Investigation revealed that Tammy Katchatag,
age 23, and Vincent Eakon, age 34 both of Unalakleet, had sustained stab
wounds, they were the only ones involved in the altercation.  Eakon was
treated and released from the Unalakleet Clinic, Katchatag refused
treatment.  Investigation is continuing, alcohol was involved.  At the
completion of the investigation the case will be referred to the
District Attorney for review.

Text: On 5-28-10, Alaska State Troopers responded to Stebbins to
investigate a report of domestic violence.  William Otten of St. Michael

Text: On 5/29/10, the Alaska State Troopers arrested Edwin Campbell, 35
yoa of Gambell for Probation Violation.  E. Campbell was highly
intoxicated and creating a disturbance at the bingo hall in Gambell.  E.
Campbell was arrested, transported and remanded to AMCC in Nome.

Type: Assault

Text: On 5-28-10, Alaska State Troopers responded to Stebbins to
investigate a report of domestic violence.  AST learned that a 17 year
old male had assaulted his mother, then fled the home.  The juvenile was
not located.  Charges from the incident will be referred to the
Department of Juvenile Justice.

Type: Assault 1- DV

Text:  On 5/30/10, at about 2208, Alaska State Troopers received a
report of an adult male resident of Aniak having been assaulted by 26
YOA Alfred John Morgan of Aniak.  Subsequent investigation by State
Troopers revealed intoxicated Morgan struck the male with the metal end
of a mop, which caused a serious physical injury to the male.  The male
was transported to the Aniak Clinic and then to Anchorage for treatment.
Morgan was arrested on a charge of Assault 1- DV and remanded at YKCC in
Bethel.

Type:  Criminal Mischief Fifth Degree

Text: On 5/23/10 at 1100 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Dillingham
received a report from Tina Tinker of Aleknagik that the Traditional
Council store had been vandalized.  Investigation revealed the front
door to the store had been forced open and subsequently the frame was
damaged in the amount of less than $50.00.  The case is still under
investigation.

Type: Motor Vehicle Collision

Text: On 5/29/10 at 1100 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Dillingham
were notified by first responder Allen Ilutsik in Aleknagik that there
had been an ATV collision at 0700 hours.  According to the
investigation, there were four subjects on the ATV.  A 22 year old
female, 25 year old male, an 18 year old male and a 16 year old female.
The 22 year old female was medical evacuated to Anchorage for serious
injuries.  Alcohol is suspected to be involved in the collision.  The
investigation is continuing into this incident.

Type:  Assault 4th (D.V.)

Text: On 05/26/10, Alaska State Troopers received a report that a 20
year old female of Sand Point, had been assaulted by her boyfriend hours
earlier near Coffee Point in Egegik, AK. On 05/26/10 King Salmon-based
Alaska State Troopers flew to the village of Egegik to investigate the
reported assault. The investigation revealed that Scott W. Badger, age
40 of Sand Point had assaulted his girlfriend. Badger was arrested for
Assault in the fourth degree (D.V.). Badger was transported to the
Bristol Bay Borough Jail located in King Salmon and lodged with no bail,
awaiting arraignment.

Type: DUI, DWLR, Driving in Violation of Restricted OL.

Text: On 5/30/10 at 1945 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a
traffic stop on the Richardson Hwy. in Salcha.  Nathan William Sproule,
age 24, of Salcha was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of
alcohol, Driving While License Revoked and Driving in Violation of
Restricted OL.   Sproule was transported to and remanded at Fairbanks
Correctional Center. Sproule is being held with no bail.

traffic stop on a 1992 Dodge Shadow for speeding 85 mph in a 55mph zone,
Richardson Hwy.. Investigation determined that the driver, Alexandria
Anderson, age 17 of North Pole was driving with no vehicle insurance.
Anderson was issued a summons to appear in court for no vehicle
insurance.

Text: On 05-028-2010 at 1718 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded
to a motor vehicle collision at Holmes Road and Still Valley Drive.
Investigation revealed Jacob Auvinen, 28 of North Pole was driving a
1991 Toyota truck east bound on Holmes Road when he attempted to pass a
2005 Ford truck driven by a 36 y.o. male of North Pole. The driver of
the Ford truck was attempting to turn on to Still Valley Road when
Auvinen passed on the left. Both vehicles collided and Auvinen’s vehicle
rolled over into the north side ditch on Holmes Road. No injuries were
reported. Both drivers reported wearing their seatbelts. Both vehicles
were towed from the scene. The Ford sustained approximately $10,000 in
damage. Auvinen’s vehicle was totaled. Auvinen was issued a citation for
Failure to Exercise Due Care to Avoid a Collision.

Text: On 5/31/10 at about 1800, AST responded to a motor vehicle crash
involving injuries in front of the Oasis Bar on University Ave.
Investigation showed that Bruce Lehto, 55, of Fairbanks, was traveling
south in his 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada when he began to slow down to make
a turn.  Elise Blake, 17, of Fairbanks, was behind Lehto in her 2007
Toyota Prius and did not see that he had slowed down.  Blake ran into
the back of Lehto, causing minor injuries to Lehto and his passenger.
Both vehicles were a total loss.  Blake was issued a citation for
following too closely.  All occupants were wearing their seatbelts.

Type: SAR
Text:  On 5-31-10, at 0007 hours, Joseph Kron, 27 of Anchorage, called
911 to report that while out rafting down Portage Creek, he had become
separated from the other 3 members of his party and 1 was missing.
Spencer Kiddle, 31 of Anchorage, and Travis Markham, 29 of Anchorage,
were located but they were unable to locate the 4th party, Daniel
Chugaev, 17 of Anchorage. While gathering information from Joseph Kron,
Girdwood Fire received a call from Daniel Chugaev stating his raft had
deflated on some rocks and he had walked to the first Portage railroad
tunnel Safe House. A Girdwood Trooper and Girdwood Fire responded to the
scene where they met up with Kiddle, Markham, and Kron.  Girdwood Fire
swam across the river to recover Chugaev who was transported back on a
small raft.  He was treated for mild hypothermia and released to his
guardians.

Location: Mile 95 Seward Highway

Case number: 10-46756

Type: MICS 4, RECKLESS DRIVING

Text: On 05/30/2010 at 1830 hours, the Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol
Kenai Peninsula Team-Girdwood, contacted Frankie Dupuis, age 29 of
Soldotna, after the vehicle she was driving was observed passing 5
vehicles in a no pass zone near mile 95 of the Seward Highway which is a
designated Highway Safety Traffic Corridor. While Dupuis was passing,
she was traveling at 90 MPH and nearly collided with the trooper in the
opposite lane. Subsequent investigation revealed that Dupuis was in
possession of methamphetamine. Dupuis was arrested for reckless driving
and MICS 4. She was remanded into the custody of Anchorage jail with
bail set at $4500 cash.

Text: On 5/29/10 at approximately 1944 hours, the AST Bureau of
Highway Patrol, South Central Team contacted Michael R. Fisher Jr, age
38 of Anchorage after he was stopped for a moving violation.  Fisher was
found to have an outstanding Anchorage AST $250 cash or corporate
warrant on the original charge of failure to maintain alcohol server
card.  Fisher was arrested and remanded to the Seward Jail.  The vehicle
was released to a third party.

Text:  On 05/31/2010 at approximately 1409 hours the AST Bureau of
Highway Patrol, South-Central Team, stopped a vehicle near the
intersection of the Parks Hwy. and Vine Rd. for a seatbelt violation.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Blake A. Anderson, age 18,
of Houston.  Anderson was found to be operating the vehicle with a
