Type: Death Investigation

Text: On 3/31/10, at 1000 hours, Juneau AST received a report of a death
in Kake.  Investigation revealed that Veronica Jean Loges, age 45 of
Kake, had died of unknown causes, foul play is not suspected.  The next
of kin has been notified and the State Medical Examiners Office has
requested that the body be transported to Anchorage for the purpose of
an autopsy.  AST investigation continues.

Type: DWLS
Text: On 3/31/10 at approximately 2000 hours, Alaska State Troopers
stopped on a disabled vehicle on the Parks Highway near the Trunk Road
exit.  Troopers contacted the driver, Patrick T. Pritchard, age 49, of
Wasilla and found that Pritchard was driving with a suspended driver's
license.  Pritchard was issued a misdemeanor citation for DWLS and
released.  The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

Location: Wasilla

Type: Burglary 2nd ,Theft 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree

Text: On 3/31/10 at approximately 1824 hours Alaska State Troopers
received a report of the theft of a welding machine valued at $2,700.00
from a tool shed of a residence near Finch Drive, Wasilla.
Investigation revealed the shed had been broken into and the welding
machine stolen sometime within the last month.  The damage to the tool
shed is estimated at $100.00. Investigation is still ongoing. Anyone
with information about this crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at
745-3333 or Alaska State Troopers at 745-2131.

Location: Chickaloon
Case number: 10-26270
Type: MVC-D
Text: On 04-01-10, at approximately 0200 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received a report of a motor vehicle collision in Chickaloon.
Investigation revealed that David Patrick, age 56 of Wasilla, was
driving his 1999 Dodge Pick up South bound on the Glenn Highway near
mile 90. Patrick drove off the west side of the roadway, hit a snow berm
and collided with an embankment. Patrick's vehicle was estimated to be a
total loss. Patrick was not injured and reported to have been wearing
his seatbelt.

Type: Assault 4, Probation Violation

Text: On 3-31-10 at 1615 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a
report of a domestic disturbance in Gambell.  Subsequent investigation
led to the arrest of Tyre Ungott, 48 of Gambell, for Assault 4 and
Probation Violation.  Ungott was remanded to the Anvil Mountain
Correctional Center.

Case Number: 10-24615

Type: DUI, Felony Assault, MCA 

Text: On 3/25/10 at 2028 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in King Salmon
received a report from VPO Mochin in Manokotak that Ty Moore, age 19 had
rolled a pickup that he was operating on the roadway, and subsequently
injured his passenger, Vincent Nicketa, age 32.  Investigation revealed
that Moore was operating the vehicle while under the influence of
alcohol.  Moore lost control of the pickup on the roadway and the pickup
rolled over into the ditch.  Nicketa and was taken to the health clinic
and treated for his injuries.  Moore fled from the scene, was later
contacted and no injuries were reported.  Neither, Moore nor Nicketa
were wearing their seat belts.  Investigation into the incident is
continuing.

Type: Structure Fire

Text: On 3-26-10, at approximately 0820 hours, Alaska State Troopers in
Aniak received a report of a structure fire in Grayling. Investigation
revealed the home of Wilford Deacon Jr. age 45 of Grayling, had been
destroyed by fire. No one was injured in the fire and the State Fire
Marshal was contacted. The home was considered a total loss.

Type: Search and Rescue

Text: On 4-1-10 at 0900 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a
report of an overdue four wheeler en route to Golovin from Nome.  At
1200 hours, searchers located Donald and Burlene Oliver, both from
Golovin, in good condition at the Topkok shelter cabin after their
vehicle ran out of fuel.

Type: VCOR, Unlawful Contact

Text:  On 4/1/10, the Aleknagik VPSO arrested 26 yo Aleknagik resident
Massa Ilutsik for VCOR and Unlawful Contact.  Ilutsik has a pending
Assault 4 charge and was ordered by the Dillingham Court not to return
to the residence where the incident occurred or not have contact with
the victim.  Ilutsik was discovered to be at the residence and was in
contact with the victim.  Ilutsik was remanded to the Dillingham Jail
pending arraignment.

Type: Assault 4, Criminal Mischief 4

Text: On 4-1-10 at 1030 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a
report of a domestic disturbance in Shishmaref.  Subsequent
investigation led to the arrest of Robert Jones, 45 of Shishmaref, for
Assault 4 and Criminal Mischief 4.  Jones was remanded to the Anvil
Mountain Correctional Center.

Text: On 3-30-10, at approximately 1106 hours, Alaska State Troopers in
Aniak received a report of a Sexual Assault in the village of Kalskag.

Type: Vehicle Theft II

Text:  On 3-30-10, at approximately 1500 hours, Alaska State Troopers in
Aniak received a report of a snow machine theft. Sinka Zaukar, age 75 of
Sleetmute, reported his 2009 Bravo had been stolen. Anyone with
information about this theft is asked to contact the Alaska State
Troopers at 1-800-675-4398. AST investigation continues.

Type: Warrant Arrest
Text: On 4/1/2010 at 1555 hours, the Alaska State Troopers arrested
Bessie Ayagalria, age 33 of Tuntutuliak, on an outstanding arrest
warrant issued by the Bethel court for Criminal Mischief in the third
degree. Bessie was transported and remanded to the Yukon Kuskokwim
Correctional Center in Bethel. Bail was set at $2,500.00.

Type:  Driving while license revoked / probation violation
Text:  On 3-31-2010 at approximately 1328 hours, Alaska State Troopers
contacted Ronald L. Pitka, age 50 of Mentasta, during a traffic stop
near mile 5 Mentasta Rd. Investigation revealed that Pitka was driving
while his license was revoked. Subsequent investigation revealed that
Pitka is on felony probation for driving under the influence. Pitka was
arrested and transported to the Tok holding facility. He is charged with
driving while license revoked / probation violation.

Type: DVRO VIOLATION
Text: On 3/31/2010 at 1239 hours, The Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks
contacted 26 yr old Thomas F Parker II , due to a disturbance in the
North Pole area. Investigation revealed that Parker was in violation of
his Protective Order, by means of entering a female Petitioner's
residence after being court ordered not too. Parker was further arrested
for DVRO VIOLATION before being transported and remanded at the
Fairbanks Correctional Center.

Type: Assault IV DV, Interfering with Report of DV, Unlawful Contact
Text: On 03/31/10 at approximately 2150 hours, troopers responded to a
residence at mile 273.5 Richardson Highway for the report of a domestic
disturbance.  Robert W. Kline, age 41, of Delta Junction was arrested
for threatening to injure a female at his residence.  The victim called
911 and Robert pulled the phone line from the wall.   Robert was charged
with Assault IV DV and Interfering with the Report of a DV. Robert
posted bail after his arraignment.

Text: On 3-31-2010 AST contacted Frank Marotta, 34 YOA of Soldotna after
AST received a 911 call that originated at his residence. AST
investigation resulted in Marotta being arrested for DUI, Failure to
stop at the direction of a police officer in the second degree, DWLR,
Improper use of evidence of registration, and failing to maintain
liability insurance. Marotta was transported to Wildwood Pretrial.

Type: DWLR & Fail to maintain liability insurance.
Text: On 03-31-2010 AST contacted Paul Panamarioff, 38 YOA of Soldotna
after his vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation. AST
investigation disclosed Panamarioff's operators license was revoked and
he did not have liability insurance on his vehicle. Panamarioff was
placed under arrest and transported to Wildwood Pretrial where he was
remanded in lieu of $1,000.00 bail.

Type: DUI-Drugs; MICS 6 

Text: On 03/28/10, at approximately 2327 hours, Billy Ogle (age 28 of
Soldotna) was stopped by Alaska State Troopers at the intersection of
Huntington Dr and Ravenwood St in Soldotna for a traffic violation and
an equipment violation.  Ogle was arrested for DUI-Drugs after
investigation revealed that Ogle was operating the vehicle under the
influence of Percocet and Marijuana.  Ogle was also arrested for
Misconduct Involving as Controlled Substance in the Sixth Degree after
investigation revealed Ogle was in possession of marijuana.  A passenger
in the vehicle, Peter Kim (age 46 of Soldotna), was also arrested for
Misconduct Involving as Controlled Substance in the Sixth Degree after
investigation revealed Kim was in possession of marijuana.  Ogle was
remanded at Wildwood with $750 bail.  Kim was remanded at Wildwood with
$250 bail.

Text: On 3/31/10, at approximately 2150 hours, Alaska State Troopers
conducted a bar check at the Pit bar in Seward where Troopers contacted
Tracy White, 23 y/o of Seward. A check through APSIN revealed White to
be in violation of his felony probation conditions. White was arrested
and remanded into the Seward Jail.

Text: On 04/01/10 at 1230 hours, Soldotna Troopers received a report of
a cell phone stolen from inside a pickup truck at the Sterling Post
Office. The victim's phone had been taken out of his vehicle while he
went inside to check his mail.

Type: Criminal Trespass I, Theft III
Text: On 03/25/10 at 0851 hours, Troopers in Soldotna received a report
of about $450 worth of items stolen from inside a pickup truck in
Nikiski. An unknown person had approached the residence sometime during
the previous night and opened unlocked vehicles to look for valuables.
At least three residences on South Miller Loop had been approached by
the suspect in the previous 12 hours. 

Investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about this crime is
asked to call the Alaska State Troopers in Soldotna at 262-4453.
Residents in the area are also encouraged to lock their vehicle doors.

Text: On 03/31/10 at 0753 hours, Soldotna Dispatch received a call
reporting vandalism at Nikiski North Star Elementary. About $1500 damage
was done to playground equipment at the school sometime in the last
week.

Type: Commercial Fish Closed Waters
Text:  On March 30, 2010, at about 1600 hours, Alaska Wildlife
Troopers from aboard the P/V Enforcer contacted Nicholas Johanson,
49 of Seattle Washington.  Johanson was summonsed to appear in court
in Sitka on April 13, 2010 at 1330 hours for commercial fishing in
closed waters during the Sitka Sac Roe Herring Fishery.

Type: Vessel Collision

Text: On 3/31/10  a collision was reported which occurred during the
Sitka Sac Roe Herring Fishery.  Investigation revealed the seiner F/
V Agave, operated by Kenneth M. Jones, of Homer collided with the
seiner F/V Alaskan Rose operated by John Johanson, age 53, of
Klawock during the opener on 3/30/10.  The F/V Agave had
approximately $1500 damage, the Alaskan Rose had minor damage. No
injuries were reported and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
The USCG Marine Safety Office was contacted regarding the incident.
