Sobriety Checkpoint Planned
The Las Cruces Police Department will conduct at least one sobriety checkpoint within city limits during the week of Feb. 7-13, 2010.
LCPD checkpoints are part of the department’s efforts to reduce and eliminate the number of motorists who drive while intoxicated. The enforcement activities also may include saturation, underage and party patrols.
The Las Cruces Police Department encourages those who plan on consuming alcoholic beverages to arrange ahead of time and use a designated driver – someone who will not be drinking – for their transportation needs.
