The Portland Police Traffic Division will be conducting DUII enforcement missions on December 18th and 19th and again on December 30th and 31st. The purpose of these missions is to identify impaired drivers and keep the roads safe this holiday season.

These missions are in response to the increase of DUII crashes and related drunk driving incidents that can occur around the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. The funding for these missions came from a Traffic Safety Grant.

The media are welcome to do ride-a-longs and a traffic officer will be available for interviews. Contact the Portland Police PIO to schedule either.
