Baton Rouge, Louisiana – Man Shot to Death – 2400 Convention

Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 47-year old man that occurred around 3:45pm today in the 2400 block of Convention Street.
The victim was shot in a possible attempted robbery.
He was taken by EMS to the Baton Rouge General Medical Center Mid-City where he later died.
Witnesses describe seeing several young black males on bicycles fleeing the scene following the shooting.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family. Anyone with any information on this murder is urged to contact the Homicide Division at 389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
