Nashville, Tennessee – Illegal Drug Activity Believed Connected to Una Murder of Ryan Wright and Wounding of Michael Schamberg

Illegal drug activity appears to be involved in Wednesday night’s shooting death of Ryan M. Wright at the intersection of Sleepy Hollow Drive and Rychen Drive in the Una area of Nashville.
Wright and his friend, Michael T. Schamberg, who are both 22 and live in the area, were shot at Schamberg’s Chevrolet Tahoe. When officers responded to a 6:35 p.m. shots fired call, Wright was on the ground suffering from a single gunshot wound to his upper torso. He died shortly after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Schamberg was in the driver’s seat of the SUV suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He is recovering at Vanderbilt. A plastic bag of marijuana was discovered on the ground close to the vehicle.
Witnesses reported seeing a newer model car with dark tinted windows flee the area of the shooting.
