Johnson, Vermont – 2 Car Fatal Crash *Update*

On November 10, 2009 at approximately 6:11 pm, the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department, Vt State Police, Johnson Fire Department, Northern Emergengency Services, and Cambridge Rescue responded to Vt Rt 100C in Johnson for a report of  a two car crash.  Upon arrival both vehicles were on fire.  The operator of the truck was removed and transported to the hospital for treatment of  injuries.  The operator of the second vehicle died at the scene.

The Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department and the Vt Medical Examiners office have identified Melissa Boivin 28, of Johnson as the victim of the November 10 crash which occurred on Vt Rt 100c in Johnson.

The operator of the second vehicle involved has been identified as Seth Machia 22 of Eden,Vt.  .  He is listed in stable condition at Fletcher Allen Medical Center.

The Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department is attempting to identify a third vehicle seen in the immediate vacinity, at the time of the accident.

On November 10, 2009 at approximately 6:11 pm The Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department, VT State Police, Johnson Fire Department, Northern Emergency Services, and Cambridge Rescue responded to VT RT 100 in Johnson, VT for a report of a two car crash. Upon arrival both vehicles were on fire. The operator of the pick-up was removed from his vehicle and transported to Copley Hospital and treated for injuries. The operator of the second vehicle died at the scene.

Names will not be released until next of kin have been notified
