16-year-old Male Arrested in Robbery

The Akron Police Department and members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested a 16-year-old male on two counts of Aggravated Robbery. Officers arrested Kenja T. Thomas for his participation in the robbery of a 20-year-old male.

The robbery was reported by the victim around 4:00 in the morning on October 19, 2009. The victim said he was walking home from a friend’s house when he was confronted at gunpoint by Thomas and another unidentified suspect in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Triplett Boulevard. Thomas went through the victim’s pockets taking three dollars and a cell phone before fleeing.

Thomas was taken into custody at a hearing at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Facility around 1:30 this afternoon.

Felony reports for November 10, 2009
Luis O Garay, 41, 400 Munroe Falls Ave #B., Akron, Ohio was charged with Hit Skip. Luis made a left turn in front of traffic at Tallmadge and Blaine Ave. He hit a motorcycle causing injuried to the rider. Luis stayed at the accident for a minute or two then took off running.

Lawrence W Legions, 38, 175 E Market St., Akron, Ohio was charged with Felony Theft. Lawrence went into Macy’s at 2000 Brittain Rd and stole two coats.
