Orlando, Florida – One Arrested in the Murder of Otis Beckford

The probable cause charging affidavit for Jason S.Rodriguez is posted.
The charges at this time are 1st Degree Murder. The investigation is ongoing as it relates to this incident and more charges are expected.
The name of the deceased is being released as the next of kin has been notified.
The deceased is: Mr. Otis Beckford

OPD responded to the above location reference a shooting. Multiple people had been shot. An active search was conducted for the suspect who was identified as Jason Rodriguez 9-28-69.
We later received information that he was at a location on at the 5400 Block of Curry Ford Rd. OPD SWAT Team was deployed to that location and was able to take the suspect in custody without incident.
The suspect is currently at the Orlando Police Department.
Investigators are working several scenes, and the investigation is on-going .
There were 6 shooting victims and of those 6, 1 victim was deceased at the scene.
No names or associations or any other details are being released at this time Once additional information is provided, I will forward it to you via email to include the transport to the Orange County Jail.
