Type: MVC-D/Failure to Report MVC
Text: On 11/05/09 at approximately 1549 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received a report of a hit and run at Church Road and Pittman Road
Wasilla. Investigation revealed that 19 YOA Lindsay M. Deal of Wasilla
parked her blue 1996 Ford Ranger on the side of the road after having
transmission problems at 0430 hours, on 11/05/09. Deal returned to her
vehicle at 1330 hours, on 11/05/09 discovering her vehicle had been
struck and damaged. Damage to her vehicle is estimated at $3000
dollars. Anyone with any information concerning this investigation is

Text: On 11/5/09 at approximately 1723 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a two vehicle collision at Seldon Road and Anoka Place.
Investigation revealed a 2007 Ford Crown Vic patrol car driven by
Trooper Ricky Sawyer, 25 of Big Lake, was traveling westbound on Seldon
Road approaching Anoka Place behind a vehicle that was making a right
hand turn onto Anoka Place. A 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Andria
Vinzant, 17 of Wasilla, was stopped on Anoka Place and proceeded to make
a left hand turn onto Seldon Road eastbound while the vehicle in front
of the patrol car was turning onto Anoka Place. The Tahoe pulled into
the westbound lane of Seldon Road and was struck by the patrol car at a
speed of approximately 30 mph. Damage to the Tahoe was estimated at
$6,000, while damage to the patrol car was estimated at $10,000. All
occupants reported wearing safety belts, and Trooper Sawyer reported
minor injuries. Vinzant was issued a citation for Failure to Yield
after Stopping.

Type: Improper Use of Registration/Plates
Text: On 11/06/09 at approximately 0202 hours, AST stopped a black Ford
Bronco, bearing Alaska plate FJE141, on Bogard Road near Green Forest in
Wasilla for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed the operator,
Leonard Hall age 41 of Wasilla, was driving his vehicle with license
plates which did not belong to the vehicle. Hall was issued one criminal
citation for Improper Use of Registration/Plates and one citation
Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance.

Text: On 11/06/09, at approximately 0952 hours, AST contacted Jason P.
Irizarry, age 34 of Wasilla, during a traffic stop on the Parks Highway
near Pittman Road for a moving violation. Investigation revealed
Irizarry was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of
alcohol. Investigation also revealed that this was Irizarry’s third DUI
with-in the past ten years. Irizarry was arrested, transported, and
remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility. Bail was set at $5,000. The
vehicle was released to a family member.

Text: On 11/5/09 at 2125 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a
report of and Assault in the village of Grayling. Investigation
revealed that Robert Maillelle assaulted a residence on Grayling and
damaged property which was valued at less than $50.

Type: Burglary in the Second Degree / Criminal Mischief in the Third
Degree
Text: On 11-05-09 at approximately 1130 hours, Troopers were notified of
the unlawful entry and damage to the Cantwell School. Investigation
revealed sometime after 10-31-09, somebody used a tool to pry the back
window to the metal shop open. The suspect(s) are believed to have
entered the school. Damage to the window is in excess of $500.00.

Text: On 11/6/2009 at 0134 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to
the South Cushman Extension area for a vehicle fire. During the
investigation, troopers contacted, arrested, and remanded a 16 y.o.a.
juvenile to the Fairbanks Youth Facility for driving a vehicle in
violation of his instructional permit.

Text: On 10-5-09 at approximately 0022 hrs, Troopers conducted a traffic
stop on a 2007 Chevy pickup truck as it was stopped in the middle of the
roadway near mile 1 Nistler Road. Troopers made contact with the driver
Mario Lujan, 38, of Fairbanks. Investigation revealed that Lujan was
under the influence of alcohol and subsequently arrested for DUI. Lujan
was remanded to the Delta Court house.

Text: On 11-06-09 at approximately 0815 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a single motor vehicle rollover on Waldhem Rd. near Howling
Dog Trail. A 2003 Subaru Legacy driven by Mariah Gossett, 24yoa of
Fairbanks, overturned when Mariah failed to negotiate a turn. There were
no injury’s reported. Mariah reported wearing her seatbelt.
Alaska State Troopers would like to remind all drivers to be mindful of
their speed when icy road conditions exist.

Text: On 11-04-09 at 2002 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a 1995
GMC for an equipment violation at mp 27 of the Kenai-Spur Hwy.
Investigation showed the driver Greg Fulton, age 47, of Nikiski was
impaired by alcohol. Fulton was arrested and remanded to WWPT for DUI
with no bail.

Text: On 11/05/09, Klawock AWT contacted Wayne Campbell, age 58 of
Anchorage on Polk Inlet Road near Hydaburg, Alaska. Investigation
revealed that Campbell had shot a deer several miles away from where he
was contacted at and failed to validate his deer harvest ticket.
Campbell was issued a citation for Failure to Validate his Harvest
ticket and bail was set at $160, with an optional court appearance on
12/09/09 at Craig Court.

Text: On 11/6/09 Jonathan Millington-Walton, 26 years old of Fairbanks,
was indicted by a Fairbanks Grand Jury on charges of Robbery and Theft
in each of the following cases – Oaken Keg, committed on 10/17/07; ETZ
Video, committed on 1/15/08; Denali State Bank, committed on 2/2/08;
Denali State Bank, committed on 2/20/08; Oaken Keg, committed on
5/15/08; and, Movie Gallery, committed on 12/30/08.
Millington-Walton was recently indicted on charges for the Spirit of
Alaska FCU robbery that occurred on 6/19/08, and he is in the custody of
FCC on those charges.=A0 Forensic evidence recovered from that scene, as
well as a joint year long investigation by ABI, Fairbanks Patrol
Troopers, FPD, UAF and the FBI into the previous robberies, linked
Millington-Walton to all the other cases.=A0

Text: On 11/5/09 at approximately 1846 hours the AST Bureau of Highway
Patrol, South Central Team responded to a report of a motor vehicle
collision at the intersection of Bogard Rd. and Seldon Rd. in Wasilla.
Investigation revealed MATTHEW KAVANAUGH, age 25 of Anchorage, driving a
2006 Dodge pickup failed to stop for a stop sign and struck a 2000
Pontiac Grand Am driven by JOSEPHINE HARDING, age 17 of Palmer. HARDING
was transported to the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center with non life
threatening injuries. KAVANAUGH was issued a citation for failing to
stop for a stop sign as well as a Misdemeanor Citation for Reckless
Driving and released at the scene. All occupants reported wearing
seatbelts.

Text: On 11-5-09 at 2130 hours the Alaska State Troopers Bureau of
Highway Patrol, South Central Team stopped to assist a disabled vehicle
at the intersection of Vine Road and Hollywood Road, in Wasilla. AST
contacted Randy Fox (21 YOA of Wasilla) on scene. Investigation
revealed that Fox had a warrant for his arrest, the bail was set at
$150.00. The warrant was for failure to appear, original charge Theft
III. Fox was arrested and booked into the Mat Su Pre Trial Facilty.

Text: On 11-5-09 at 1730 hours the Alaska State Troopers Bureau of
Highway Patrol, South Central Team stopped to assist a stranded motorist
near mile 8 Knik Goose Bay Road in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that
the driver, identified as Anthony Lapis (18 YOA of Wasilla) was in
possession of marijuana. Lapiz was issued a misdemeanor citation for
Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 6th Degree and
released on scene.
