Fraud at a local pharmacy leads to Felony arrest

Arrested: Theodore M. Martinez, 33, Boise

Charges: Obtaining a Controlled Substance by Fraud (F)

Boise Police working with a pharmacy on the 7600 block of West Fairview Avenue yesterday (November 11th) at approximately 4:00 p.m. arrested Theodore Martinez. Employees of the company tell police they had received a suspicious call from the suspect claiming to work at a doctor’s office, requesting a prescription. The pharmacy called Boise Police, who witnessed the suspect enter the pharmacy and purchase the prescription before taking him into custody. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

Warrant Arrested: John Weldon Liles, 21, Boise

Warrant Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance yesterday (November 11th).

The arrest warrant stems from an incident that took place on June 18th of this year. On that date, the suspect was being booked into the Ada County Jail on an unrelated charge. At the time of booking, officers discovered a small plastic baggie containing an unknown drug hidden in his clothing. Later testing confirmed that the pills were a controlled substance and the suspect did not have a prescription. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
