Houston, Texas – Suspect Charged in July Fatal Shooting at 2550 Joel Wheaton Road

November 2 , 2009 – A suspect has been charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 2550 Joel Wheaton Road about 11:50 p.m. on July 24.
The suspect, Kenneth Wayne Glass Jr. (b/m, DOB: 03-20-76), is charged with murder in the 228th State District Court. Glass is currently being held in the Brazoria County Jail on unrelated charges.
The victim, Quincey Lasley Taylor, 18, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officers K. Lopez and R. Figueroa reported:
Officers responded to a shooting in-progress call at the Hollow Park Apartments located at 2550 Joel Wheaton Road. Upon arrival, Mr. Taylor was found deceased in a grassy area.
Further investigation determined that Glass was seeking revenge after his apartment was burglarized. Taylor was walking through the apartment complex when he was struck by gunfire. It is not believed Taylor was involved in the burglary of Glass’ apartment.
