November 2 , 2009 – Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 16000 Cotillion #A-7 about 12:30 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 30).

The victim, Iveth Leila Muñoz, 28, of the above address, suffered unknown injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Blain and Senior Police Officer E. Schmidt reported:

Ms. Muñoz was at her apartment when an unknown male suspect knocked at her door. Muñoz opened the door and then immediately tried to close it on the suspect, but he forced his way into the apartment. A few hours later, a neighbor went to check on Muñoz and found her deceased. The male suspect was no longer in the apartment at that time.

The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male, 25 to 27 years of age, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, possibly a pock-marked face and a thin build. He was wearing black jeans, a T-shirt and a black baseball cap.
