November 2 , 2009 – Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 4600 block of West Orem about 1:45 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 1).
The male victim, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Izaguirre and Officer I. Jefferson reported:
According to witnesses, the driver of a gray Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling eastbound in the 4600 block of West Orem at a high rate of speed when he suddenly made a right turn and struck a median curb. The Silverado then went into an open field where the driver lost control, rolling the vehicle several times. The driver was killed.
