November 2 , 2009 – Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10630 Beechnut about 10:15 p.m. on Sunday (Nov. 1).
The victim, Carlos McDonald, 33, of the above address, suffered a gunshot wound to the head. McDonald was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T.D. Griffin, Senior Police Officer B.D. Evans and Officer J.A. Harvey reported:
Two black males were with Mr. McDonald in an apartment leased by McDonald’s sister. As the sister was returning home, she heard a single gunshot and saw the two males running from the apartment. Upon entering the apartment, McDonald’s sister saw he had been shot and was lying on the floor.
