Sunday night’s shooting of two West Tennessee men in the parking lot of Willow Point Apartments on Hickory Hollow Terrace in South Nashville is believed to be drug related.
According to a relative, Alvin Howse and Clifton Broadway, both 35 and from Jackson, Tennessee, drove to Nashville to conduct a drug transaction. Howse was shot in the upper body and died shortly after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Broadway was hit in both legs and remains hospitalized.
The car in which Howse and Broadway are believed to have traveled, a black Nissan Maxima, was located early today at Hickory Trace Apartments. The two may have walked to the nearby Willow Point complex.
South Precinct detectives are continuing to pursue leads in this case. Anyone seeing Howse and Broadway Sunday night, or anyone with information about the shooting, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Persons can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES), or by going online to www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com.
