Loudoun County, VA: A Sterling, Virginia man has been charged with an attempted robbery and malicious wounding that occurred Sunday, October 25th in the parking lot of an elementary school.

Anthony Lee Perry, Jr., 22, was arrested Saturday by Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators with the agency’s Criminal Investigations Division. Perry allegedly confronted a 23-year-old Sterling, VA man as he was riding his bike last Sunday around 7 p.m. in the area of Sugarland Run Elementary School. The suspect approached the victim and demanded cash. The victim was stabbed after he refused to give the suspect money.

The victim was airlifted to INOVA Fairfax Hospital and is expected to fully recover from his injuries. The incident was not connected to any activities at the elementary school.

Perry remains held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
