Las Vegas, Nevada – Homicide – 1950 Simmons Street

On October 31, 2009 at approximately 8:41 p.m., officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call that a man had been shot at the Shepherd Hills apartment complex located at 1950 Simmons Street.
Officers arrived and discovered a man, approximately 40 years of age had been shot in the parking lot outside of his apartment.
He was transported to a local hospital where he later died of his wounds.
Investigation revealed that the victim of this murder had just taken his children inside his apartment and returned to his vehicle in the parking lot when he was shot. No arrests have yet been made.

The identity of the victim will be withheld pending positive identification and notification of his next of kin by the Clark county Coroner’s Office
