On Friday, October 23, 2009, San Jose Police Officers were dispatched to a major injury traffic collision involving two vehicles on Alum Rock Ave at Foss Ave.

Preliminary investigation indicates a 2004, blue, Saturn, was stopped at a signal light. The suspect was traveling eastbound in a 2005, silver, Mercedes ML 500 and rear ended the victim’s vehicle at a high rate of speed. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital for moderate injuries and taken into custody for vehicle manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury.
