Slidell, Louisiana – 42 Year Old Slidell Woman Raped

On October 25th, 2009 at 7:26 am Eric J. Poyorena, age 32 of 119 Whitehall Drive, Slidell, LA was arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Rape.
On Sunday at approximately 7:00 am a 42 year old Slidell woman reported that at around 5:00 am Eric Poyorena kicked in the front door of her apartment and then raped her. The victim who knew her attacker called police from her cell phone after Poyorena left the apartment.
Officers were able to locate Poyorena at his home and he was taken into custody without incident.
To avoid identifying the victim the location of the attack and how she knew Poyorena will not be released.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated.
Arrested Subject: Eric J. Poyorena, age 32 of 119 Whitehall Drive, Slidell, LA, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Rape and Aggravated Burglary. Poyorena is currently being held in the St. Tammany Parish Jail and at the time of this release bond had not yet been set.
