Travels five exits before being stopped by Trooper.
Saturday, October 24, 2009 - An SP Liberty trooper responded to a 911 call reporting a vehicle traveling the wrong way on State Route 17 near Liberty, NY. The vehicle, a 2005 Toyota, was located at about Exit 101 in the town of Liberty and successfully stopped in the median.
The driver, 35 year old Jennifer VanAllen of Callicoon, NY was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The investigation concluded with her being charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (her BAC% was over three times the legal limit), Reckless Driving, Concumption of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle and additional traffic infractions.
Ms. VanAllen was arraigned before T/Thompson T/J Miller and committed to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $500. bail. She is scheduled to be in the T/Liberty Court on October 27, 2009 at 2:00pm.
