Type: DWLS & False Information

Text:  On 09/29/2009 at approximately 0219 hours, Alaska State Troopers
conducted a traffic stop on Mack Road, near the Parks Highway, in
Wasilla on a silver 1998 Chevy Tahoe for a moving violation.
Investigation revealed Nathan R. Swift, age 32 of Anchorage, was
operating the vehicle with a suspended license and attempted to mislead
law enforcement to believe the passenger was operating the vehicle.
Swift was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and providing
False Information.  Swift was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility
where he was remanded on $500 bail.

Type: Driving While License Revoked
Text: On 9-29-09 at approximately 0200 hours Alaska State Troopers
contacted Clinton A. Bush, age 34 of Wasilla, as the driver of a green
Chevy Silverado during a traffic stop on the Parks Highway at Stanley
Driver, which is within a Highway Safety Corridor, for an equipment
violation.  Investigation revealed Bush was operating the vehicle while
his license was revoked.  Bush was issued a misdemeanor citation to
appear in court for DWLR and released.  Bush’s vehicle was released to a
licensed driver.

Type:  Driving in Violation of Instructional Permit

Text:  On 09/29/09 at approximately 0152 hours, Alaska State Troopers
contacted Liam Andrew Oshea-Grantham, age 18 of Wasilla, during a
traffic stop at  the intersection of Eureka and Seldon Rd. in Wasilla
for a traffic violation. Investigation revealed Grantham was driving in
violation of his instructional permit.  Grantham was issued a
misdemeanor citation for Driving in Violation of Instructional Permit
and released at the scene. Vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

Type: Improper Use of Registration
Text: On 9-29-09 at approximately 0624 hours Alaska State Troopers
contacted Shawn G. Schmidt, age 24 from Wasilla, as the driver of a
white Chevy truck near Stacey Street on A Street in Vienna Woods
Subdivision during a traffic stop conducted while conducting routine
patrol efforts.  Investigation revealed Schmidt had been operating his
vehicle with the wrong tab and an altered expiration date on the license
plate.  Schmidt was issued a criminal citation to appear in court for
Improper Use of Registration and released.

Type: Warrant Arrest
Text: On 9-29-09 at approximately 2036 hours, Alaska State Troopers
contacted Aaron P. Vanormer, age 23, of Wasilla at his residence on
Leora Drive, Wasilla for a disturbance.  Investigation revealed that
Vanormer has an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to satisfy
conditions on the original charge of resisting arrest. Vanormer was
arrested and was remanded into MSPT with bail set at $500.00.

Case Number: 09-88050

Type: Assault IV-DV/Interfering With a Report of Crime Involving
Domestic Violence

Text: On 09/26/09, approximately 1659 hrs., the Manokotak VPSO received
a report of a disturbance at a residence in Manokotak.  Investigation
revealed that Milan King,age 39 of Manokotak, had assaulted his spouse
by causing injury and fear of injury.  In addition, when the victim
attempted to contact the VPSO by telephone, King attempted to prevent
her from doing so.  King is charged with Assault IV-DV and Interfering
With a Report of Crime Involving Domestic Violence.  Investigation is
ongoing.

Case Number: 09-88265

Type: Burglary II/Theft IV

Text: On 09/26/09, Dillingham State Troopers received a report of a
burglary and theft from a building in Manokotak.  Investigation revealed
that on 09/25/09, Daniel S. Tugatuk, Jr., age 19 of Manokotak, had
entered a laundry area in an apartment complex, and had broken into a
coin box for one of the dryers, and stolen approximately $30.00. in
quarters.  The Manokotak VPSO assisted in the investigation which
resulted in charges of Burglary II and Theft IV to Tugatuk, Jr.  The
investigation is ongoing, so as to ascertain whether Tugatuk, Jr. had an
accomplice in the crime.

Type: DVPO violation

Text: On 9-28-09, at 2142 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a
complaint for a Domestic Protective Order Violation.  Investigation
revealed Stephen J. Marshall, 20 of North Pole, had another person send
a text message to a person he had a former relationship with and
violated the protective order. Marshall was arrest without incident.
Marshall was transported and remanded at Fairbanks Correction Center.

Case number: 09-88196

Type: Motor vehicle collision-Injury, Driving on a revoked license.

Text:  On 9-28-2009 at 0721 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a
single car motor vehicle rollover at the intersection of Chena Hot
Springs Road & Two Rivers Road.  Krystal Marie Iacono, age 25 of
Fairbanks, lost control of her 2007 White Nissan Maxima when she slid on
a patch of ice on the roadway and rolled the vehicle into the ditch.
Radley Ray Espadron, age 35 of Fairbanks, was a passenger of Iacono.
Iacono and Espadron utilized their seatbelts.   Iacono and Espadron
sustained injuries and were transported to FMH-ER.  Damage to the 2007
White Nissan Maxima is estimated over $10,000 dollars.  Charges referred
to the District Attorney’s office on Iacono for driving on a revoked
license.

Case number: 09-88174

Type: Motor vehicle collision-damage, failure to report a motor vehicle
collision, false report, and no insurance.

Text: (UPDATED)

On 9-28-2009 at 0035 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the
on-ramp onto the Mitchell Expressway from Chena Pump Road for a single
car roll over.  Shawn Thomas Olson, age 22 of Fairbanks, lost control of
his 2002 White Chevy Trailblazer after he slid on a patch of ice and
rolled his vehicle.  Initially, he told Fairbanks Police Department that
his vehicle was stolen from the Big-I, and AST it was stolen from Kodiak
Jacks.  When AST attempted to contact Olson, Olson was nowhere to be
found.  On 9/29/2009, Olson contacted AST and stated the reason why he
initially reported his vehicle stolen was he had no insurance.  John
Paul Speck, age 29, of Arkansas, was a passenger of Olson.  Damage to
the vehicle is estimated over $10,000 dollars.  Charges referred to the
District Attorney’s office on Olson for failure to report a motor
vehicle collision, false report, and operating a vehicle without
insurance.

Type: Death

Text: On 09-28-09, at 2256 hours, Troopers responded to a residence in
North Pole, AK to conduct an investigation of a female subject that was
severally injured.  EMS was on scene upon Trooper arrival and notified
them that the 53 YOA female was being transported to FMH for emergency
medical care.  The female was later pronounced dead at FMH.  Troopers
investigation into this event is ongoing.

Type: Felony Probation Violation
Text: On 09/24/09 at approximately 2218 hours, troopers responded to
Jack’s Liquor for the report of an intoxicated man urinating on the ice
machine.  Investigation revealed Thomas E. Ricks, age 54, of Delta
Junction had consumed alcohol in violation of his felony probation.
Ricks was arrested without incident and transported to FCC where he was
remanded without bail.

Endangerment x3
Text:  On 9-26-09 at approximately 1225 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received report of an intoxicated male shooting a hunting rifle in a
residence at the feet of another person in the residence.  Investigation
resulted in the arrest of Brady Wallis, 45 of Eagle, for Assault 3rd,
Tampering with Physical Evidence, and three counts of Reckless
Endangerment.  Investigation is on-going.

Case number: 09-88159

Type: Minor Consuming Alcohol, Violation of Conditions of Release x 8,
Importation of Alcohol.

Text: On 9/27/2009, at about 2217 hours the Alaska State Troopers
received a report of a vehicle bringing Alcohol into Tetlin Village, a
“dry village”.  Jason John, 20 of Tok was subsequently contacted and
arrested by Alaska State Troopers for 6 counts of Violation of
Conditions of Release and for Minor Consuming Alcohol.  Billy K Sam, 28
of Tetlin was also contacted and arrested by Alaska State Troopers for 2
counts of Violation of Conditions of Release.  Sam and John were
transported to the Tok Holding Facility where they were booked and
lodged.  The investigation into Importation of Alcohol is ongoing.

Type: Theft II

Text: On 9-29-09 at 1509 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a
report from a residence on Glasgow Drive in Fairbanks that cash and an
Aspire Laptop were stolen. A suspect has been identified and the
investigation is continuing. Anyone with additional information
regarding this theft is asked to call the Alaska State Troopers at
451-5100.

Type: MVC-D, DWLS

Text: On 9/28/09 at 1000 hrs. Alaska State Troopers responded to a motor
vehicle crash at Thomas Street and Hess Ave.   James Hayes (63 yoa of
Fairbanks) was driving a 1994 Chevy Van when he collided with Leonard
Chase (59 yoa of Fairbanks) driving a 1999 Ford PK on Thomas Street.
Nobody was injured both vehicles sustained approximately $2000 damage
each.  Hayes was summoned to court for Driving While License Suspended.

Text: On 9/28/09 at 1400 hrs. Alaska State Troopers responded to a
reported theft at Parham-McCormick Road in North Pole.  Suspect(s)
entered a barn and stole approximately $11000 worth of tools and
equipment.  AST is investigating this case.

Type: MVC-D

Text: On 9/28/09 at 0830 hrs. Alaska State Troopers responded to a motor
vehicle crash at University Ave and Chena River Bridge.   James H.
Collins (37 yoa of Fairbanks) was driving a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder on
University Ave when he collided with the guard rail.  Collins was not
injured, he was wearing a seatbelt.   The vehicle sustained
approximately $2000 damage and the bridge sustained minor damage.

Text: On 9/27/09 at 1155 hrs. Alaska State Troopers responded to a
disturbance at Fairbanks Street near Birch Street.  A 27 yoa man
assaulted a 21 yoa female during a dispute over a vehicle.  AST is
referring charges to the DAO to screen for assault.  Case closed.

Text: On 9-29-09 at approximately 1450 hours, AST received a report of a
theft from a vehicle parked at the Log Cabin Village.  Louis Shepard 45,
of Fairbanks reported someone entered his vehicle during the night and
stole several items from his vehicle.  Value of the stolen items was
estimated at $1000.00.  The case is being investigated by AST.

Type: Motor Vehicle Crash

Text:  On 9-28-09, at 11716 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a
single motor vehicle crash on Roland Rd., near Haman Rd., Fairbanks.
Investigation revealed Jaime S. Tidwell, 31 of Fairbanks, was operating
her 1996 Ford van and was traveling south on Roland Rd., and was
approaching Haman Rd.  Tidwell’s vehicle drifted to the right and the
front right wheel got caught into the soft shoulder and then was pulled
further down the small ditch and subsequently struck a tree.
Chena-Goldstream Volunteer Fire Department and EMS responded to the
scene.  EMS transported Tidwell and her 8 year old son to Fairbanks
Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.  Both Tidwell and her
son were wearing their seatbelt and Tidwell’s driver side airbag
deployed.  Tidwell’s vehicle was totaled at the scene.

Text: On 09-25-09  at about 1200 hours,  Ninilchik Troopers responded to
a motor vehicle accident at Old Sterling and Sterling Highway in Anchor
Point. Investigation showed that Patrick Delumeau (16) of Anchor Point
backed his `94 Chev truck and trailer into the front of the `03 Honda
Civic driven by Klavdia Snegirev (43) of Homer. Mr. Delumeau was cited
for failure to exercise due care to avoid an accident, failure to
register a vehicle and for having no taillights. Ms. Snegirev was
summoned for driving without a valid license.

Case number: 09-88523

Type: MVA

Text: On 09-29-09  at about 0722 hours,  Ninilchik Troopers were
notified of a single vehicle rollover accident at MP 165.5 of the
Sterling Highway. Troopers determined that Emmett King (21) of Homer
lost control of his 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe on the wet roadway .
The vehicle rolled down the embankment. King was transported to the
South Peninsula Hospital in Homer with minor injuries.

Case number: 09-86530

Type: Burglary-1st Degree, Criminal Mischief-IV, Theft-IV, VCOR.

Text: On 09-22-09 at approximately 1430 hrs Soldotna AST responded to a
residence for an unrelated investigation.  Troopers determined that
Travis Temple, 20 of Soldotna, had been at the residence, but left prior
to AST arrival; Temple had outstanding warrants for his arrest related
to a charge of theft.   Troopers began a search of the area for Temple
and located him in a cabin at Fall in hole, which he had entered by
kicking in the door.  Once inside, Temple stole a pair of shoes from the
residence.  Temple was on Conditions of Release related to an earlier
charge of theft.  Temple was arrested on the Warrants, and additional
charges of Burglary-1, Criminal Mischief-IV, Theft-IV and  Violate
Conditions of Release. Temple was remanded to Wildwood pretrial without
bail.

Type: False Statement Sport Fish License

Text:  On 9/21/09, Jesse Yovino age 23 of Kodiak, was cited by Alaska
Wildlife Troopers for making a false statement on his 2009 Sport Fish
License. Yovino had claimed eligibility for a low income Sport Fish
License, even though his annual income exceeded the low income
eligibility amount.  Total bail was set at $310.00.

Type: Wanton Waste/ Take undersize moose

Text: On 9-20-09 Glennallen AWT contacted Joshua Orr (age 30 / Wasilla)
near Eureka.  Investigation revealed Orr had taken an illegal size bull
moose and had wasted all the meat. Orr was issued a summons to the
Glennallen Court for Wanton Waste and shooting an undersize moose.

Type: Molesting of Fish

On 09-28-09, at approximately 1630 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers from
Cordova Post contacted a 17 year old juvenile, of Cordova, AK. as he was
shooting at a school of Coho Salmon in a pond next to the roadway.  A
.22 caliber rifle was confiscated. The case will be referred to juvenile
intake in Valdez.
