Beer Bottle Fight, Officer Injured, Car into Tree; weekend incidents

Arrested: Ashley N. Aguirre, 23, Boise

Charges: Aggravated battery (F)

Boise police responded to a report of a fight at a bar on the 100 block of North 8th Street early Sunday morning (September 27th) at approximately 1:20 a.m. Multiple witnesses tell police that the suspect had been involved in a verbal altercation with a woman she knows. At one point, the suspect used a beer bottle to strike the victim in the head. A third female stepped in to stop the altercation and she was also struck in the face with the beer bottle. At the time the injuries did not appear to be serious and no one was transported to the hospital. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
TITLE 18-CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS-CHAPTER 9-ASSAULT AND BATTERY 18-907.Aggravated battery defined. (1) A person commits aggravated battery who, in committing battery: (a)  Causes great bodily harm, permanent disability or permanent disfigurement; or (b)  Uses a deadly weapon or instrument;

Officer Seriously Injured during Downtown Arrest

Arrested: Myron R. Cutler, 38, Wilder

Charges: Battery (m), Resisting and Obstructing Officers (m)

Boise police responded to a fight on the 100 block of  Main Street late Saturday night (September 26th) at approximately 11:40 p.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect had struck another adult male in the face with his closed fist. As officers attempted to take the suspect into custody a struggle took place. During the struggle the suspect landed on top of a Boise Police officer, breaking the officers leg. The officer was transported to the hospital after the suspect was taken into custody.the officer’s leg injuries are extensive and expected to require surgery. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

Crash into a Tree Send 3 to the Hospital

Boise Police responded to a report of a crash early this morning (September 28th) at approximately 1:30 a.m. on the 2900 blk of N. Tamarack. Investigating officers determined that a Audi sedan was traveling southbound when it went off the left side of the road and struck a tree head on. The car had three male occupants in their early 20’s, all from Boise. All three occupants were transported to the hospital with what appeared at the time to be very serious injuries. Officers found evidence at the scene that drugs and alcohol may be involved. The investigation is ongoing.
