Suspect Arrested in Traffic Accident at 7100 Jensen
September 28, 2009 – Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a traffic accident at 7100 Jensen about 1:50 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 25).
The suspect, Erasmo Estaban Lanza (H/m, DOB: 8/3/53), is charged with two counts of intoxicated assault and one count of reckless injury to a child in the 230th State District Court.
The two victims, a 27-year-old female and a three-year-old male, were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Sorge and Officer A. Sampson reported:
The victim and her son were walking northbound along Jensen on the sidewalk when Lanza, driving a Dodge Dakota truck northbound in the 7100 block of Jensen, failed to maintain a single lane and hit the victims. He was taken into custody at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
