Torrance, California – Fatal Traffic Collision on Crenshaw Blvd

On September 9, 2009 at approximately 9:27 p.m., officers from the Torrance Police Department responded to a call of a traffic collision on Crenshaw Blvd south of Airport Dr.

Upon arrival, officers learned that 41-year-old Gabriel Martinez Camarillo of Wilmington, while attempting to walk west across Crenshaw, had been struck by an SUV that had been traveling south on Crenshaw.

Gabriel Camarillo was treated by Torrance Fire Paramedics at the scene and transported to Torrance Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased due to his injuries.

This collision is being investigated by the Torrance Police Department’s Traffic and Special Events Division under the command of Captain Dave Smith.
