Troop A: DWI Checkpoint In Johnson County
Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announces that sometime during the month of September, members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Johnson County.
The checkpoint is part of the continuing effort by the Missouri State Highway Patrol to remove intoxicated drivers from the highways. The checkpoint will consist of officers stopping drivers at a set location and testing those who have been drinking.
Captain Powell stated, “Removing intoxicated drivers from Missouri’s highways is a high priority for the Missouri State Highway Patrol. If you are going to drink, please don’t drive.”
