Low-manpower, multi-agency OVI checkpoint tonight on State Route 13
GRANVILLE – The Granville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today that there will be a low-manpower, multi-agency OVI sobriety checkpoint tonight from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. The location of the event is on State Route 13 in Licking County, south of Interstate 70, one mile north of the Perry County line.
The Patrol will work with the Licking County Sheriff’s Office during the event. The sobriety checkpoint will be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.
If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink. Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.
For Immediate Release: August 29, 2009
