Leon County Sheriff’s Office Conducting Comprehensive Roadside Safety Checkpoint
On Friday August 14, 2009, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a Comprehensive Roadside Safety Checkpoint on Geddie Road at the Forestry Station. The Comprehensive Roadside Safety Checkpoint will start at 10:00PM and conclude at 1:00AM. Deputies will be checking drivers for signs of impairment and observing for vehicle equipment violations, tag and license violations, and verifying vehicle insurance requirements. This Comprehensive Roadside Safety Checkpoint is part of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office’s on-going efforts to reduce impaired driving and ensure safe and insured vehicles are being operated in our community.
