Lexington, Nebraska – Troopers Arrest Man on New York State Most Wanted List

(Lexington, NE)- An Otsego County, New York man who is one of New York State’s Parole Divisions most wanted and his female companion were arrested in Dawson County following a traffic stop near the Darr Interchange on Interstate 80.
Around 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2009, troopers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. A motorist called 911 after observing suspicious behavior of a female, at a Lexington truck stop. The female got into a 1996 International straight truck with a male driver. The truck headed west on Interstate 80, where it exited at the Darr Interchange mm 231 and turned off onto a county road. The truck then turned around and was headed back to the Interstate when it was stopped by troopers.
Vehicle information revealed the truck had been stolen from a New York construction company. The male driver of the vehicle, identified as John Shaw, 42, of Otsego County, New York, had an active warrant out of New York State. Shaw, a Level III registered sex offender, is listed on the New York State Division of Parole’s most wanted fugitive list <https://parole.state.ny.us/mostwanteddet.asp?id=743>. A female passenger in the truck, Lisa Knoblauch, 28, of Otsego County, New York also had an active warrant for a parole violation on an assault conviction.
Both Shaw and Knoblauch were taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Dawson County Jail, each on charges of Possessing a Stolen Vehicle and Possession of Stolen Property.
