La Mesa, California – A Man Falls to his Death from the Highway 125 Overpass

On July 14, 2009, at about 7:30 AM, a 40 year old man fell to his death from the northbound Highway 125 overpass from eastbound Interstate 8 in an apparent suicide.
The man’s vehicle was left on the Highway 125 overpass. A witness saw the man fall head first off the overpass onto the Grossmont Boulevard off ramp from eastbound Interstate 8. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Notification and identification of the man will be made by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The La Mesa Police are looking for anyone who was driving on the northbound Highway 125 overpass from eastbound Interstate 8 on July 14, 2009, between the hours of 7:00-7:30 AM and may have seen a vehicle parked on the shoulder there. They can call (619) 667-1400 if they have any information.
