Knox County, Tennessee – 11 Arrested for DUI Over July 4th Holiday

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office reports no fatalities during the long holiday weekend. The traffic count began Friday at 6 p.m. and ended Monday at 6 a.m. Eleven people were arrested for DUI. Thirty-six others were arrested on various charges. Eighty-four citations were given, mostly for traffic offenses. Officers worked 33 accidents without injury, one involved alcohol. There were 3 accidents with injury, with one involving alcohol. Officers also assisted 114 motorists.
