South Precinct detectives are searching for 18-year-old Jesus Antonio Hernandez, Jr., who is named in arrest warrants charging murder and attempted murder in connection with this morning’s fatal shooting on Ransom Village Way.
Killed was 18-year-old Osvaldo Ismael Tinajero of Shihmen Drive. Wounded was 17-year-old Cristal Alcala of Rocky Mountain Parkway.
The investigation thus far shows that a party with several Hispanic gang members in attendance was taking place at 625 Ransom Village Way. Rival Hispanic gang members showed up and were asked to leave, which they did, but not before heated words were exchanged. At approximately 1:15 a.m., some members of the rival group returned, including Tinajero and Alcala. Witnesses reported that Hernandez, whose street name is “Joker,” fired a pistol without provocation, striking Tinajero and Alcala.
Tinajero died after arriving at a local hospital. Alcala’s wound is not believed to be life threatening.
Anyone seeing Hernandez, who is last known to have lived on Bridgette Court in Antioch, or knowing his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Citizens can also send an electronic message to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES). Tips can also be sent through the Crime Stoppers website, www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com.
