Imperial Beach, California – Armed Home Invasion

On 07-03-09 at approximately 3:30 PM, four suspects armed with hand guns and pepper spray, each wearing black ski masks; entered the residence in the at 500 block of Elm Avenue, Imperial Beach. Present inside the residence were the home owners, a male and female.
The suspects forced the victims to the floor and secured the female’s hands behind her back with duct tape. Two of the suspects attempted to force the male victim to the floor and attempted to place duct tape on his hands as he resisted the suspects. One of the suspects attempted to spray pepper spray at the male victim and told him they would kill him if he continued to resist. One of the suspects struck the male victim on the top of his head with the butt of a revolver causing a laceration and bleeding. One suspect took approximately $350.00 cash from the male victim’s wallet.
The male victim was able to escape from the house and told neighbors to call 911. The four suspects fled from the house. A suspect on foot was apprehended and taken into custody and positively identified as one of the suspects by the victim during a curb side line up. This person was identified as Jason Wootten. During follow up investigation, Jason Ladrillono was identified as one of the outstanding suspects.
On 07-04-09 at approximately 0015 hours, Ladrillono was contacted in South San Diego. Ladrillono admitted he was present at the home invasion and was arrested.
Ladrillono was subsequently Mirandized and provided a voluntary statement. Ladrillono admitted he entered the residence with Wootton and two other suspects with the intent to commit a robbery. Ladrillono also admitted he tied up the female victim with duct tape during the robbery. The investigation is continuing.
