Text: On 7/2/09 at 2340 hours, near Holly Loop in Big Lake, AST arrested
Wayne Hill, 64, of Wasilla on an outstanding warrant for failure to
appear for an original charge of NVOL.  Hill was contacted while AST was
investigating a possible burglary in the area.  Hill was remanded to
Matsu pretrial where bail was set at $1,000.00.

Type: DUI / MVC-D

Text: On 07/02/09 at approximately 2303 hours, AST responded to mile 1
of Buffalo Mine Road for a reported single vehicle rollover.
Investigation revealed Steven G. Ysais, age 37 of Palmer, was southbound
on Buffalo Mine Road in a 2004 Audi when he drove off the road and
rolled his vehicle.  Ysais was wearing a seatbelt and reported no
injuries and damage to his vehicle was estimated at $8,000.  Ysais
walked to his house down the road and called AST to report the incident.
AST contacted Ysais at his house and later arrested him for DUI.  Ysais
was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and remanded into their
custody.  Bail was set at $5,000 and court approved third party.

Text: On 07-02-2009 at approximately 1925 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a residence located off of Anthony Road, in Houston, for a
report of a burglary.  Investigation revealed entry into the residence
through an unlocked side door.  Approximately $4000 in household items
were stolen from the residence.  Investigation of this case is ongoing.

Text: On 7/2/09 at approximately 2104 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a residence on North Snowgoose Road in Palmer for a 911
disconnect.  As Troopers investigated 49 YOA Brian P. Vance of Palmer
arrived on scene driving a 2008 Chevy pickup.  Investigation revealed
Vance to be driving while intoxicated.  Vance was arrested for DUI and
transported to Mat-Su Pretrial were he was remanded and held on $1000
bail.

Text:  On 7-2-09 at approximately 1952 hours, Troopers responded to mile
71 of the Parks Highway for a motor vehicle rollover.  The driver was
identified as Eli Graber, age 19 of Willow.  Investigation revealed that
Graber was northbound on the Parks Highway in his Ford Explorer.  Graber
fell asleep while driving and left the roadway.  The vehicle struck a
driveway and rolled over.  Graber was wearing a seat belt and was not
injured.  The vehicle was a total loss.

Type: DUI, Resisting Arrest

Text:  On 7-2-09 at approximately 2115 hours, Troopers stopped a Ford
Focus at the Willow Townsite for a moving violation.  The driver was
identified as Mary Mitchell, age 54 of Willow.  Investigation revealed
that Mitchell was impaired and under the influence of alcohol.  Mitchell
resisted arrest when Troopers attempted to arrest her.  Mitchell was
arrested and was remanded into MSPT, where bail was set at $1,000 cash.

Text:  On 07/03/2009 at approximately 1440 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received a report of shoplifting at the Steve’s Food Boy grocery store
in Big Lake.  Investigation revealed Bryan Tomlinson, age 21, of
Wasilla, took several items valued at $8.43 out of the store before
being apprehended by store security.  Tomlinson was issued a summons to
appear in court at a later date with a charge of Theft IV.

Text: On 7/3/09 at approximately 1229 hours, AST stopped a 1991 Acura
Integra on the Palmer Wasilla Highway near the Parks Highway for an
equipment violation.  Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver,
Dustin Hill, 22 of Willow, was driving with a suspended AK OL.  Hill was
arrested for DWLS and transported to MSPT where he was lodged on
$1,000.00 cash bail.  Hill’s car was impounded at the scene.

Type: Assault 4-Domestic Violence

Text: On 7/1/09, Dillingham-based Alaska State Troopers responded to
Pedro Bay, a community on the northeast corner of Lake Iliamna, for a
domestic disturbance.  Investigation led to the arrest of 44 year old
Pedro Bay resident Michael Lee Jacko.  Jacko was charged with one count
of Assault 4- Domestic Violence related after the investigation showed
his actions caused a family member to fear a physical assault.  Jacko
was transported to the Dillingham Jail where he was held until his
arraignment on 7/2/09.  The Naknek Magistrate set Jacko’s bail at $1,000
cash and he must have a court appointed third party custodian prior to
his release.  If he is released, Jacko is ordered not to consume alcohol
as it was a factor in this incident.

Text:  On 6-30-09 a 25 year old male resident of Kodiak reported to AST
Kodiak that his step-son’s bicycle had been stolen.  The man was not

Text:  On 7-2-09 at approximately 0800 hours, AST received a report of a
theft at Jack’s Liquor.  Investigation determined someone broke a window
at Jack’s Liquor during the early morning hours and took 7 bottles of
multi-flavored vodka from a display near the window.  The alcohol was
valued at $132.65.  Damage to the window was estimated at $200.  Anyone

Type: MVC-D with moose

Text: On 7-3-09 at approximately 0030 hours, AST responded to a report
of a motor vehicle collision with a moose located near mile 307.5 of the
Richardson Highway.   AST investigation determined Andrew E. Morris 30,
of Fairbanks was northbound driving a 2002 Ford pickup when a moose
walked into the roadway.  Morris was unable to avoid the moose due to
other traffic on the roadway.  The moose was struck and killed.   Morris
and his passenger Jon Cummings 30, also of Fairbanks were not hurt.  The
pickup had heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene.  The
moose was salvaged by a local charity.

disturbance.  Jacob Adam Pomeroy, age 19 of Fairbanks was arrested for
assaulting his ex-girlfriend, damaging her truck windows and for not
allowing her to contact troopers.  Pomeroy was charged and remanded to
Fairbanks Correctional Center for assault 4, criminal mischief 4 and
interfering with a report of a crime involving domestic violence.

Text: On 7/2/09, at approximately 2155 hours, a Trooper from Girdwood
stopped a late model Chevrolet Pickup near mile 112 of the Seward Hwy

investigation revealed the driver, Dennis Lipscomb, age 49 of Whittier,

Text: On 7-2-09, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted 18 year old Mitchel
Halverson from Anchorage during an investigation.  The investigation

of the fish to the no residents.  Halverson was issued a summons for
improper use of personal use caught fish.  The offense carries a

Text: On 6-23-09 Glennallen Alaska Wildlife Troopers received a report
of people on the Klutina River pulling multiple salmon onto the rocks
before releasing them.  Troopers contacted Matthew Conner (age 26 /
Anchorage) who was observed by Troopers removing salmon from the water
onto the riverbank then releasing them back into the Klutina River.
Conner was issued a citation for removing a salmon from the water prior

mile 94 Seward Highway outside Girdwood for a moving violation.  The
driver was identified as Joshua M. Tracy (24 YOA of Chugiak).
Investigation revealed that Tracy was driving while his license is
revoked.  Tracy was issued a summons for driving while license revoked
and released on scene.

Highway Patrol South Central Team stopped a 2002 Chevy pickup for
speeding at mile 101 Seward Highway near Indian.  The driver was
identified as James Stevens (31 YOA of Anchorage).  Investigation
revealed that Stevens was driving while his license is suspended.
Stevens was issued a summons for driving while license suspended and a
