Fourth of July Parking Advisory for Capital District
The New York State Police in Troop G are advising the public of a strict parking policy during this year’s Fourth of July fireworks display in the City of Albany. Every year numerous traffic problems occur due to the parking of vehicles on the area’s interstate highway system. Please be advised that violators will be ticketed or towed. Tow trucks will be parked in the area on standby. A targeted state police presence will be patrolling the interstates specifically to alleviate this problem. In order to enjoy the display and park nearby at no cost, the following areas will offer free parking to the motoring public at the Empire State Plaza or adjacent lots:
P-2, north and south lots,
P-3 south lot,
Grand Street lots,
V lot,
East Parking
