Vanderbilt Medical Center today upgraded Sgt. Mark Chesnut’s condition from critical to critical-stable as he shows signs of improvement and recovers in intensive care from last Thursday’s gunshot wounds.
The police department and Sgt. Chesnut’s family are grateful for the continuing prayers and expressions of concern from the Middle Tennessee area.
Mississippi escapee Joseph Jackson and Courtney Logan, who are charged with attempting to kill Sgt. Chesnut during a traffic stop last Thursday afternoon, are scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.
