Moriarty, New Mexico – State Police Warrant Operation

Moriarty – Tuesday morning Law Enforcement personnel saturated the Torrance County area with a State Police warrant operation, the overall operation netted 33 arrests ranging from DWI, Traffic Violations, Probation and Narcotic violators.
More than forty five officers comprised of State Police, Motor Transportations PD, US Marshalls, Torrance and Moriarty PD saturated the streets just after 6:00 AM this morning and came to a productive close near 11:00 AM. Sixty (60) warrant absconders were on the plate, 18 Felony and 15 Misdemeanor were cleared after teams of officers searched for them at their last known addresses. While serving the warrants the officers located an active methamphetamine lab and took down the operation with the seizure of products used to manufacture the deadly drug.
The absconders arrested were transported to the Torrance County Fire Department for processing and later booked into several different detention facilities without incident. Joint Operations such as these will continue around the state and are coming to a town near you. If you are aware that you have warrants take the time to settle issues with the courts.
