La Mesa Police Department 4th of July – DUI Enforcement
The La Mesa Police Department will have extra officers on patrol that are specifically looking for drunk drivers this 4th of July weekend.
As part of the San Diego County AVOID the DUI campaign, additional La Mesa Police Officers will be working at DUI Check Points and conducting DUI Saturation Patrols this Independence Day weekend.
All of this is being done as part of our on-going efforts to reduce the number of persons killed and injured in alcohol involved crashes, as well as educates the public on the dangers of impaired driving.
Funding for this operation is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
