June 30, 2009 – Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 4937 Hoover about 7:55 a.m. on Monday (June 29).
The victim, Raymond Beltran, 55, of the same address, died of a gunshot wound to the head.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant D.A. Ferguson and Senior Police Officer T.S. Tyler reported:
Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots about 3:30 a.m. coming from the corner of Hoover and Randon Road. HPD officers dispatched to the scene were unable to locate any witnesses to the shooting or the source of gunshots.
Several hours later, Mr. Beltran was found deceased by the homeowner in a back bedroom about 8 a.m. He’d been shot in the head while he was sleeping. Several bullet holes were found in the west and east sides of the house.
