On Friday 06-19-2009 at approximately 2336 hours, BRPD Uniform Patrol Officers were dispatched to 6100 Byron St in reference to shots being fired in the area. While heading to the area, BRPD dispatch advised officers that they were receiving additional calls advising that a black male had been shot and was lying in the street.
Upon arrival officers observed a black male laying on Byron St, and further investigation revealed that the subject had been shot numerous times and was deceased. Homicide Detectives were notified and are currently investigating.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Homicide Division at 389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
