On June 18, 2009 at 5:23 PM, the Vallejo Police Department responded to a call of shots being fired with a man down in the area of Gateway and Rounds.
Upon the officers arrival they discovered a black male victim lying in the street. The victim was identified as a 17 year old juvenile from Fairfield.
Vallejo Detectives as well as our civilian Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene and began the investigation. We are continuing to examine the case and are working to identify the suspects. No additional information is being released at this time. This is the sixth homicide of the year in Vallejo.
