Redfield, New York – Driver Charged With DUI in the Death of James Herr

(Redfield, NY – June 10, 2009) – State Police in Pulaski are currently investigating a one car fatal motor vehicle accident which occurred on June 9, 2009 at approximately 11:35pm. The accident occurred at the intersection of County Route 2 and County Route 17 in the Town of Redfield.

The vehicle operator, Bryant J. Jolly, age 25, of 1422 County Route 17 Bernhards Bay, NY was traveling east on County Route 2 and failed to stop at the intersection. The vehicle subsequently struck a utility pole and overturned. The passenger, James P. Herr, age 26, of 591 County Route 65   Bernhards Bay, NY was pronounced deceased at the scene. Jolly was transported to the scene with non-life threatening injuries.

Update:

Bryant J. Jolly, age 25, from 1422 County Route 17, Bernhards Bay, New York was arrested on June 10, 2009 for Vehicular Manslaughter 2nd and Driving While Intoxicated.  Jolly was arraigned before the Honorable Amy Pastuf, Town Justice, Town of Richland and committed to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail/$20,000 bond.
