The Leon County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Tallahassee Police Department and Florida State University Police Department, are hosting the 5th Annual Capital City Challenge Law Enforcement Motorcycle Rodeo Competition this Saturday February 21, 2009. This exciting and unique event is being held at the Governor’s Square Mall, at the Sears’ wing of the mall parking lot. The public is invited to attend to watch and cheer on the officers as they compete. This event is being held to raise money for Leon County Special Olympics.
Schedule of Events:
• On Friday February 20, 2009, at 6:00PM civilian motorcyclists may enter their motorcycles in a bike show competition that will be judged by Special Olympic athletes. At 7:00PM Law Enforcement Officers will compete under the lights riding obstacles.
• On Saturday February 21, 2009, from 9:00AM to 3:00PM the main competition will be held which will consist of a very challenging motorcycle skills course and competition. There will be a silent auction and food available for purchase. Please come out and help raise money for the athletes of the Leon County Special Olympics.
