Salinas, California – Homicide Arrest / Wanted Suspect

January 13, 2009, 5:30 p.m.

On Friday, January 9, 2009, at noon, detectives located and arrested one male juvenile who is suspected of being involved in the homicide of Jose Alonzo, age 22 of Salinas.  Mr. Alonzo was shot to death on November 2, 2008 in front of his home on Lewis Circle.

The juvenile suspect was arrested without incident  on New Salem Drive at the dead end.  Detectives obtained and served a search warrant at the juvenile’s residence in Winton, Merced County, California.
Detectives also obtained a warrant for the arrest of a second suspect, Juan Paul Pulido, age 19. T

he second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 6-0 tall, 250 pounds, black hair, brown eyes with a birthdate of October 24, 1989. Pulido is wanted for murder and should be considered dangerous.
