Details: On December 20, 2008, between 6:00 PM and 4:00 PM, the Perris Traffic Team conducted a roving DUI saturation patrol. 14 citations were issued, and 14 vehicles were towed for a variety of vehicle code violations. Three subjects were arrested for felony drug charges, and two subjects were arrested for misdemeanor drug charges. Seven drivers were arrested for DUI (one for a felony/injury DUI collision, and six for misdemeanor DUIs).
In an effort to reduce the number of alcohol and drug-related traffic collisions this holiday season, the city of Perris Traffic Team will be conducting two additional DUI checkpoints and two additional saturation patrols, between December 31, 2008, and January 3, 2009.
