Thanksgiving Holiday Traffic Statistics
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office started its annual Thanksgiving Holiday traffic count on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. and ended Monday, December 1st at 6:00 a.m. No fatalities were reported. There were 98 crashes without injury and 23 with injury. Four people were arrested for DUI and 43 others on various charges. Officers assisted 147 motorists and issued 89 citations over the five day period.
