Long Beach, California – 15 Year-Old Shot to Death Near Ohio Ave. and 11th St.

On Saturday, November 29, 2008, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Officers from the Long Beach Police Department responded to a shots call in the area of Ohio Avenue and 11th Street.
Officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower torso area. The victim was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Jabari Benton a 15-year-old Long Beach resident. Benton was walking in the area of Ohio Avenune and 11th Street when an unknown suspect on foot shot him. There is no suspect information available.
